In the annotated texts below, the window is divided into two parts, known as frames. The upper frame contains the text itself, which you may read and move around in as you would any other text. The lower frame is used for explanations of various sorts. If you select a word in the main text, the definition of that word will appear in the lower frame.
A single asterisk (*) appears at the end of every sentence. Selecting this asterisk causes the translation of the sentence to be displayed in the lower frame. Here and there are double asterisks (**). These indicate notes on linguistic, historical, or cultural points. Selecting the double asterisk causes the note to be displayed in the lower frame.
